Introduction:
QIA is committed to supporting improvement in the quality of offender learning.
All QIA's support programmes aim to facilitate access by staff (prison and probation-based staff as well as LSC-funded providers) working with offenders both in custody and in the community. However, we recognise the particular challenges faced by staff working within this part of the sector and the fact that they would also benefit from targeted support which reflects the current emergent stage of development of quality systems within offender learning contexts.
Benefits of taking up the QIA offer:
New subject teaching materials – avoid reinventing the wheel!
- Improved teaching and learning
- Higher success rates
- Professional development for staff
- Support for developing self assessment processes
- Preparing for inspection
- Working with peers to review and develop provision
- Influencing the development of excellence in OL
- Access to resources through the QIA Excellence
- Gateway web portal
