National teaching and learning change programme

A programme designed to transform teaching, training and learning in selected subjects in the post-16 sector by developing and supporting 'Subject Learning Coaches' and 'e-Guides'. The programme promotes whole organisational approaches to quality improvement and offers support for leaders and managers and initial teacher educators

Learning and Skills Network, Centre for Excellence in Leadership, National Centre for Excellence in Teaching of Mathematics, National Science Learning Network, National Institute for Adult Continuing Education, BDP Ltd, Illumina Ltd, Desq Ltd, and the eleven Centres for Excellence in Teacher Training (CETTs)

For

Teachers and trainers in adult and community learning, FE colleges, prisons, school sixth forms, sixth form colleges, work-based learning and initial teacher education providers

Scope

Subjects currently available: business, constructionand the built environment, Entry to Employment (E2E),society,health anddevelopment, information technology (IT), land-based studies, mathematics, science, adult learning, engineering, modern foreign languages, e-learning and initial teacher education

From autumn 2007

Interimreleases in Creative and media, Learning mathematics in context, Modern foreign languages and cross-curricular: Enterprise, Customer care, Health safety and well-being

From summer 2008

Further resources aligned to the Diplomas in: Engineering, Construction and the built environment, IT, Society, health and development, Creative and media. In addition, resources available for: Expert learner, Learning Mathematics in context (final), Customer care, Enterprise and Health, safety and well-being
